Seasoned Nollywood actress Moji Afolayan, popularly known as Lola Idije, has cleared the air surrounding the rumor of her daughter’s man being snatched by junior colleague, Biodun Okeowo, AKA Omoborty.
It all started when faceless blogger, Gistlover accused Omoborty of secretly seducing and snatching Lola Idije’s daughter’s lover thereby betraying the 65-year-old movie star, who is also her god mother.
This allegations took over the social media space since the weekend and has caused major controversy, damaging Omoborty’s reputation and involving her in accusations of betrayal and deceit.
Gistlover didn’t stop at the initial claims, suggesting that Omoborty and her godmother, Lola Idije, had a falling out, with their trust severely broken.
The blog, known for causing drama in the entertainment world, stirred more controversy by comparing Omoborty’s actions to those of Iyabo Ojo and Mercy Aigbe, hinting that all three were involved in similar romantic betrayals.
Biodun Okeowo, who got married to her lover Adeniyi Olabiyi in July 2024, called out Gistlover of being fixated on ruining her reputation, calling the allegations a malicious attack after years of harassment.
Omoborty firmly denied the claims and flipped the story, stating that she was the one who introduced Lola Idije and her daughter to her now-husband.
However, Lola Idije broke her silence as she also denied the claim, revealing that her daughter has never introduced the man to her.
According to the movie star, the first time she knew Omoborty’s husband was when Omoborty introduced him to her via phone call and she attended the wedding.
She wrote, “I want to address the story going around since yesterday and to clear the air. The first time I ever spoke to Omoborty’s husband was when she introduced him to me on a phone call.”
“I did not know him before that. None of my daughters know him personally. Biodun aka Omoborty did not snatch my daughter’s boyfriend. I attended the wedding. There is no way she would do that and I will still attend the wedding. Thank you and I hope this clarifies everything.”
